We were able to have the unexpected time to visit with the Honorable Betty Ocan, a member of Parliament, Gulu District.It was a great Sunday afternoon visit. She was very open with different issues; including, but not limited to orphans, sexual and gender based violence, public health, etc.
She is a very friendly, influential and committed politician.
The biggest surprise: She is the founder of Laroo Pece Women's Association (LAPEWA) where I am an intern!! That was fantastic to be able to meet her and listen to her for the afternoon.Thank you for visiting with us, Honorable Betty!!
